BERNSTEIN Safe Solutions Co. Ltd. has been active in China for 20 years this year. What began in 2005 as a bold step into a new market has developed over two decades into a pillar of the BERNSTEIN Group. Today, the Taicang site stands for efficient production, close customer relationships, intercultural cooperation and a clear commitment to industrial safety technology
"BERNSTEIN Safe Solutions is a good example of how we live the values of a family-owned company even across 8,000 kilometres," says board member Achim Bernstein. Founded in 2005, the branch employs 65 people. Close to its customers and with short delivery routes, the company scores highly on the Chinese market, particularly in the lift industry, and now also supplies safety technology of the highest standard worldwide. In order to continue to meet the high demand for door contacts, for example, BERNSTEIN China expanded its production in 2021 with a modern assembly line. "At the beginning, around 600,000 SEL door contacts for lifts were produced in China each year. We are now talking about 4 million," reports Achim Bernstein.
"An anniversary like this is more than just a look back," says Jan Aßmann, Managing Director of the Chinese BERNSTEIN subsidiary. "It is an expression of reliability, shared successes – and of the many people who have contributed to our growth over the years with their commitment. This anniversary is a good moment to pause, say thank you – and at the same time look ahead with a clear vision."
