Understandable. Entertaining - and now also in English thanks to AI.

Explaining complex topics, facts and technical terms relating to functional safety in an understandable, catchy and, above all, entertaining way - that is the aim of the "Safety Technology by Sascha" project, which BERNSTEIN launched in German around a year ago. The series on the YouTube channel of the family-run company from Porta Westfalica is aimed at the specialists of today and tomorrow as well as anyone interested in safety technology. The company is now rolling out the series internationally. With the support of artificial intelligence, Sascha Klusmeier now speaks into the camera in English.

The experienced product manager moderates the series. Sascha Klusmeier not only has in-depth knowledge of functional safety, standards and technical terms, but also the ability to convey this content to viewers using humour and understandable words. "Each video is dedicated to a specific topic in order to clarify questions and provide insights into issues that need to be explained or refreshed from time to time. Some of the contributions build on each other and serve up complicated topics in small bites," says Sascha Klusmeier.

"There was great demand for the video series to also be available in English. Our subsidiaries in particular wanted to show the contributions to their customers or link to them on social media channels and the website. We puzzled over the question of how we could implement this in a sensible and simple way for some time and have now decided in favour of the artificial intelligence solution. In the background is an extensive BERNSTEIN glossary so that technical terms and specific wording can be translated as required. The AI takes care of the rest by adapting Sascha's lip movements and copying his voice," reports Janine Brennenstuhl, Head of Content Marketing and PR.

"It was really spooky at first, I have to admit. But I'm fascinated by the possibilities offered by such tools," admits Sascha Klusmeier.
