Volker Trein is Industry manager for elevators and escalators

Since October 2018, Volker Trein (47) has strengthened the sales team of BERNSTEIN AG as industry manager for elevators and escalators.

"Thanks to his extensive experience, Volker Trein knows the industry very well and has so far advised customers and colleagues worldwide on specialist applications. In order to further strengthen and expand BERNSTEIN AG's position in the market, he is an ideal addition to our sales team," says Nicole Bernstein, Member of the Executive Board for Sales and Marketing, explaining the decision.

Volker Trein has been active in the elevator industry sector since 2002. Initially he was able to familiarise himself extensively with the industry as a service engineer with startup and troubleshooting at an elevator control manufacturer. He also became a specialist through his additional training as a control technician and then through his almost 15 years of work in the technical sales department of a manufacturer of elevator switchgear. "The good contact to the mechanics in the shaft, the experience I gained directly in the field and the many years of exchange with customers and colleagues are the most important basics of my position at BERNSTEIN. I know the industry and its challenges and am looking forward to using this knowledge to push ahead with customer-specific projects", reports Volker Trein on his motivation.

BERNSTEIN is one of the world's leading suppliers of industrial safety technology. With a comprehensive range of switches, sensors, housings and operator terminals, the family-owned company offers its customers versatile solutions. BERNSTEIN AG, headquartered in Porta Westfalica, employs more than 560 people in 10 countries worldwide.
