BERNSTEIN AG is back at interlift 2019 in Augsburg and presenting its latest highlight for the lift industry, the IN series position switches. The IN62 and IN65 are the successful answer to an increased market demand and the contacts of this particular series are especially designed for switching low currents. The family business from Porta Westfalica is using this new development to mark its comeback at the most important international trade fair for the lift industry.
"Even though, after a few years away, we are now once again represented at interlift with our own booth, we have always been present in the market. We are very proud that our SEL series door contacts and characteristic red switches can be found in elevators and escalators all over the world through our customers," said Gisela Bernstein, CEO of the Porta Westfalica-based company.
The latest addition to the proven SEL door contact series which BERNSTEIN will be presenting at this year's interlift is the SEL3. The company will also present its other latest developments to interested visitors at the trade fair - the IN62 position switch for standard applications and the IN65 modular position switch with a large selection of easily exchangeable actuators.
The role of position switches has changed completely in recent decades. In the middle of the 20th century, these switches had to be able to operate with currents of up to 16A, while today we are only talking about a few mA. The IN series was developed especially for this requirement.
The IN65 also offers a special feature with its sophisticated combination of metal and plastic components. The switch’s mounting plate is made entirely of metal, which simplifies installation considerably and makes the switch robust and durable. It also means that a mechanical service life of up to 30 million switching cycles can be effortlessly assured. The lower part of the housing is made of glass-fiber reinforced plastic which not only insulates the IN65 electrically, but also makes it economically attractive.
In addition, BERNSTEIN attaches great importance to customer proximity, which is why two elevator experts are available at company locations in China and Germany: "James" Jiping Lv and Volker Trein are a well-practiced team that not only supports our customers, but also our own sales team, with extensive expertise and many years of experience in the elevator industry both in word and deed," explains Gisela Bernstein. "Mr. Lv and Mr. Trein will be present at interlift 2019 and are looking forward to seeing some familiar and new faces at our stand.”
