The German Engineering Federation (VDMA), one of the world's largest trade association, represents more than 3.000 German machine and plant manufacturing companies.
The products and innovations produced by these VDMA members make a very significant contribution to the strength of the German economy.
The three editors of the encyclopaedia Dr. Hannes Hesse (chief executive of the VDMA), Dr. Florian Langenscheidt (editor and publisher of Deutsche Standards) and Hartmut Rauen (member of the chief executive board of the VDMA) as well as Dr. Wolfram v. Fritsch (chairman of the board of Deutsche Messe) invited to celebrate the launch of the encyclopaedia at the Hanover fair on 8th April 2013.
Attending the event were representatives from the media, politics and business including the German Secretary of Education Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka together with partners and sponsors of this initiative.
