The document certifies the approval and release of suppliers for new products and product developments throughout the U.S. group UTC (United Technologies Corporation), to which OTIS also belongs.
The certification forms the basis of a trusting and co-operative partnership between the two companies. The document also certifies the well-established organisation of processes at BERNSTEIN.
On 25 and 26 February 2013, Mrs. Johl and Mr. Dorow performed an audit at the BERNSTEIN AG.
BERNSTEIN completed a Q-Plus audit criteria catalogue in advance and carried out self-assessment.
Slight deviations have been identified and optimised, so that BERNSTEIN AG - is the first medium-sized company to achieve level three status at first stage auditing.
For the official handover of the certificate, OTIS invited BERNSTEIN to Berlin.
OTIS welcomed BERNSTEIN to the current headquarters of OTIS in Germany, followed by a works tour and inspection.
The certificate is valid for two years. For maintaining the validity, surveillance audits by OTIS are necessary every two years. OTIS is global market leader for elevators, escalators and moving walkways and has used BERNSTEIN switches and sensors for many years.
